The church of God has set up intercessory and the communion of the saints in prayer. Even a ministry is deriving from this simple act that God has called us to pray.
Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Part of the action is to pray and goes into a deeper relationship with God so that we will able to transform more of our spiritual being so that we can associates our self in the communion amongst ourselves and also with God above us.
Act 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Act 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
We join the group for the purpose of prayer and forgotten about how that book of James has taught us about prayer and faith that has work through action. We began to justify that our prayer is indeed a part of our action, wherefore Jesus Christ has also commended us to be more sensitive in particular to the needs of his people.
Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Yes we pray, but we must also take up the knighthood of battle to spread the love of God. That is in most part through our act of action and giving out freely to set the oppression free and relieve in mankind in that image of God that we are describing. Freely we give and shall freely we receive. Because whatever we give God shall see it and award us accordingly to our riches in deed and glory that we shine in the light of Jesus.
Yes we supported in prayer, but if we see the poor without food and do not lend a helping hand what more Christian are we in the conviction of our salvation. If we believe and trust in God and amplify not our action through prayer then what are we in the eyes of the Lord? I believe it draws us to what book of James has said about forgetting the very nature of our self in the mirror. Once we take out the mirror from our sight we soon forget how we look like in the similar ways of descriptive in abstract.
Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Rom 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Rom 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
So does in any way should we be giving in deed but do not have the relationship in God through prayer. Prayer is a very powerful substance that can even change the course of our life. To the extent we have come to a cross path and trap within our own iniquity. It provides and escapes route and assurance of peace of God to take charge and control of our life. That is only through prayer. Since God himself is the charger of our life, we will able to face smoother uncertainty towards our adversarial situation and favor will be abhor in our daily life.
So it goes both way a prayerful and an action life both in deed and relationship in God. This I call it as a generator of faith that God want to build in us and within us as we commune and practice until his return. Without this passage of mystery reveal we will not ascribe to the miraculous and blessing of God breaking part in our problems and hindrances that strengthen our faith through that challenges that we faces in life. Wherefore it is our daily working situation, family life and needs, within the relationship in the church, agreement and discontentment that will cause us to be tempted. Prayer is the key solution to the upholding of the glory of God in that sense of assurance in victory.
Prayer is not a specific ritual and oracle of understanding but it is a ways of having a relationship and communication to God. A friendship and honest and faithful chat and lingering on our interest, discussion and decision that we need to make in the very moment of our life. That the art of prayer a daily intercessor and acknowledge in humble reverence that God is still in charge of this day. The submissive character that we portrait in the simple act of prayer. The humility does start with the simple act of prayer which is overflow toward the spiritual body of our physical self right to the very part of transformation in the very body of Christ.
Prayer is not the transformation but it is the starting point to the very act of transformation building greater relationship in God. Thus prayer and the words of God does goes hand in hand, without sacrificing one for another in our spiritual daily walk.
The question asked is prayer building us or are we building the prayer in our life. The derivation of that question is one is build on the solid foundation of faith while other is build on the very course of deed, action and activity. Is that what we want in the Christianity of our life?
Think about it?
